Take time

Hello friends and yogis,

As we move through the season of gratitude, Thanksgiving reminds us to pause and appreciate abundance, not just in material ways but in connections, relationships, lessons, and opportunities.

This year, after the launch of Deserts to Mountaintops Volume 2 in January 2024, I set out to create opportunities and collaborate to share the lessons from my story. I dreamed up ideas and brought many to life this year. Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way by attending events, engaging in conversations, or sharing feedback!

Putting myself out there more than ever before has been a journey, but it turns out it gets easier when you’re passionate about your writing and your message! Connecting with others through sharing stories, creating workshops, and engaging in Q&A sessions has been deeply meaningful.

After six years of leading day retreats, I dreamed of offering a women’s weekend retreat. A space for connection and renewal, with a little silence sprinkled in. This fall, that dream became a reality. (See images below.) Looking at my calendar beforehand, I realized it was my only special event aside from regular teaching and my monthly women’s circle.

For a few days, I felt the familiar pull to create something new, craving the thrill of connection and sharing wisdom. But I paused, gave myself grace, and let it go. I reminded myself of the lessons I return to again and again: step back, trust the process, and leave space for what might unfold.

Two weeks later, I was invited to keynote at Delaware’s Bankers Association Women Connect event. The exact kind of opportunity I had envisioned. Speaking on the art of listening, I shared how it enhances self-reflection, self-care, and meaningful personal and professional connections. This experience reminded me that patience and stillness create space for grace to find us.

Whether through speaking events, Q&A sessions about Deserts to Mountaintops, reading excerpts at book clubs, or engaging with women’s circles and workshops, I’ve seen how these conversations create ripples of connection and growth.

If you’ve been setting intentions of your own, here’s a gentle nudge: leave room for grace and possibility. Sometimes, what we seek is already on its way to us.

Peace and blessings this Thanksgiving,
Delia

If any of this resonates with you and you have a story, I'd love to hear it!

Our 2024 retreat was an amazing fall weekend!
We had an incredible group of women and can’t wait to host another weekend retreat at this location.

Sacred Pause Women’s Weekend Retreat

Join us for this intentional pause and re-enter the world feeling refreshed and ready to embrace life with more clarity and a sense of calm.

Taking a pause is brave and essential for our mental and physical health! Our retreat weekend offers a "sacred pause" to reflect, restore, and reconnect with yourself and nature. There is time for connection, community, movement, and silent time to move at our rhythm through peaceful walks, reading by the fireplace, journaling, rest, or simply being present! You get to choose what to do with your space and time!

This retreat offers a unique opportunity to escape the noisy world swirling around us, detox from technology, and find peace before the busy holiday season.
